In this journal, I'll be discussing the law of Fair Use when using copyrighted material for commentary and criticism.
This is the law that allows film critics to critique movies, game reviewers to post game footage, and even little ol' people like me to review and critique original characters. This is the law that allows individuals to express their thoughts and opinions on artistic work, and have the ability to use copyrighted material in order to make their review more beneficial and understandable to their audience.
Many artists who have been critiqued often claim that using their work in a review is committing copyright infringement. This isn't true. When Fair Use is applicable to your review, then you are not
